Priscilla Pizziol

I am a dancer, movement researcher and author of theatrical performances that use the language of dance.

Graduated from the Salzburg Experimental Dance Academy (SEAD)I. teacher in training qualified to teach CAM of the Feldenkrais® method.

After graduating from SEAD, I collaborated with several choreographers and directors (Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui for Joe Wright's film, Agostina D'Alessandro, Compagnia Oltrenotte, Compagnia Dejá Dónnè) as an interpreter for their creations. At the same time, the desire to develop personal projects arose. In 2019 "Vengo a loserti" was born, an entirely improvised solo that received the "danza" award within the SoloCoreographic Festival - Lavanderia a Vapore. With this first authorial work I participated in several international festivals including: Solo Dance Festival in Ankara, SHOWCASE at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan and  MASH-Jerusalem International Dance Week.

Together with Edoardo Sgambato we gave life to "Macula", an artistic research collective that debuted in 2023 with its first work "Amelia". The project received recognition for choreographic writing at the Cortoindanza Festival and participates in numerous festivals with a site-specific version, including: Conformazioni, Performare Festival, InCastro Festival, Rassegna Logos, Caffeine.

In addition to my authorial path, I am a teacher in training qualified to teach CAM of the Feldenkrais® method and creator and organizer of "Landscapes for Composition" in collaboration with CorPoetica. A project, focused on the technique of instant composition, which involved artists such as Julyen Hamilton, Lily Kiara, Maya M. Carroll & Agostina D'alessandro. Also, I studied with Charlie Morrissey, Mirva Makinnen, Asaf Bachrach, Meytal Blanaru.

I share my transformation practices through explorations inspired by the study of the Feldenkrais® method, Instant Composition and Contact Improvisation. The entire self is invited to immerse itself in a perceptive-imaginative state within which to transform and manifest itself freely in all its expression and incisiveness.

Lab Topic:  Generously Flesh, Alive

A proposal to investigate the relationship between the somatic approach to movement and the evocative capacity of dance. A creative journey in which, through listening and observation, we will invite the body to access a state of perceptive openness, fueling curiosity and awakening creativity and spontaneity. An invitation to recognize and celebrate the manifestation of our bodies in their full poetic and conscious essence. "I am moved by the geometry of your body stretched out as you pour out your contents in an attempt to trace a tender furrow to cross. You are a landscape, hosting subtle images that settle on your skin, weigh down and descend along your tissues until they land slowly in your bones With your breath you fill time, you stop it, you suspend it, you tear it to shreds, and you immerse yourself in it, generously flesh, alive.
